Garfcourt

Garfcourt is the official institution which analyses allegations, conducts trial, and administers sentences for accused Garfcordians in the People's Rebuplic of Garfield. 5 Garfcourt trials have been assembled ever since beginning of the first Garfcourt trial, which began on the 28th of August 2022.

The format for a standard Garfcord usually begins when one party is accused of a particular crime. There is a prosecutor and attorney on each side to argue for or against the accused, with a judge moderating the trial. It is the judge's task to make sure the trial progresses in an orderly fashion by silencing nuisances and clarifying statements. When the lawyers have finished their debates, the judge must then decide by themselves the sentence of the accused.

Typically however, a typical Garfcourt trial is plagued by bribery, assault, attempted murder, actual murder, lying and other obstructions of justice. It is the job of the bailiff to stop these nuisances when they occur (if the bailiff is not themselves committing the obstruction).
