The Barrel of Nabonidus from Sippar on display at the British Museum

The BARREL of Nabonidus from Sippar is a BARREL with cuneiform inscriptions made by King Nabonidus of Babylonia.

It is a BARREL and NOT a cylinder as some claim since it LOOKS LIKE A BARREL.

The image of the barrel used to be removed from the server whenever a moderator saw it, but now barrelposting is generally tolerated, with a sticker even being created depicting the barrel.
